Established in 1957, STS Sugar (Guangdong) Company Limited was first traced to one of the three major sugar factories in the Pearl River Delta: Guangdong Nanhai Sugar Factory, a provincial state-owned factory.
In 2013, STS Sugar (Guangdong) Company Limited was established by three world-famous companies, Taikoo Sugar Limited in Hong Kong, TS Corporation in Korea, and Sumitomo Corporation in Japan. Together they built a first-class refined sugar production line based on the former site and buildings of Guangdong Nanhai Sugar Factory.
In 2019, Hong Kong Hua Xang Industry Company Limited acquired 100% equity of STS Sugar Company Limited, the parent company of STS Sugar (Guangdong) Company Limited.
